The Hoopla Will Now Commence!
(My birthday is starting a day early this year to accommodate your generosity! Thank you all for your fun contributions! Enjoy!)
Special welcome to other Leo's having birthdays this month... (secret handshake not necessary in mixed company) ...
Normally, I would ignore my birthday... but this year, I decided to embrace it. And apparently, so did all my bloggy readers!! Thank you for the laughs and great email! Let's make merry and have some food! You'll all be happy to know that friends Jenni, *Judy* and *Gerbera Daisy* have made sure you will be feasting on fantastic cake and cookies!!
Strawberry Kiwi Coconut Raspberry Ripple Cake Supreme!! (thanks Jenni!)
I cut into this one to see what it was before you all arrived, then replaced the wedge with the skill of five surgeons. It's Yellow-Chocolate Marble Cake with candy-inspired decorations and buttercream frosting! (Thanks Judy!)
And OMG, get aload of this wonderful assortment of fantastic cookies that Gerbera brought!! Line forms to the left.

And Jenni provided me with a special personal Chocolate Mousse... just in case I wasn't choco-coma-happy yet.
And my good friend *Jessica* was thinking long-range... so she got me my own personal chocolate tree (cacao beans)!!
Everyone please thank *Perbuy* who snuck in ahead of you all and has taken care of all the colorful decorations for our little event. She knows I love color!
And *Naomi,* known for her skill with a camera, printed a humorous dyptic of her adorable white fluffy cat (Sweetie) to illustrate my attitude toward birthdays. And while we're talking about art and decor, *Mike* has arranged to have one of our rooms renovated in early-fabulous-kitchy-Italian opulence! How fun will that be? He's also provided us all with a 5 course catered Italian meal from Buca Di Beppo (I've convinced the clergy to wait on us all) And I'm certain this food is unspeakably delicious! I trust Mike implicitly.
And *Colleen* heard about us wanting to re-do our back yard and surprised us with this lovely water-feature! Gorgeous!
Several of you wanted to make sure our furred friends were well-taken care of and enjoying themselves during the Hoopla. Thanks to Jenni for the cat masseuse.
She even bought them this brand new "Penguin Tubby." Fits 4 perfectly, and even comes with an automatic de-icer and penguin-preener! She thought of everything! Parker, Penny, Porky and Paulo will be so happy.
And Wendy insists I wear a fun party hat. How very Leo-like! It even comes with its own mane! :)
I think this is a Say-Something Hat.(anyone who says something about it, has to relinquish their piece of cake!).
Of course some of you even thought of entertainment!! *FINN* pulled this one right off my Life List. Could this BE any more intimate and special? I love Indigo Girls. They can play sentimental, wistful and spiritual and really make you think about life... or lay down some rockin' toe-tappin' cutting edge folk-pop. They are seriously talented song-writers and singers.
And Jenni has hired the Marseille Mime Machine to perform their famous "Trapped on a Subway," a tragedy in 4 acts. Wow. She also hired Christy Lane to teach us all the Mashed Potato~ I've always wanted to learn that dance!!
*Stacie* has made sure the Margaritas will be free-flowing. What's a party, without maragaritas? Yes, that's a bucket.
And Marianna and *Finn* both gifted us with a trip to Venice! B & I had the most amazing time there a year or so ago. I can't wait to return!

Knowing how I hate long flights, *Stacie* got me this travel edition of Care Bears Checkers to play with B. Everyone on the plane will be green with envy... or airsickness.
After Venice, Jenni is having us whisked off for a week in Prague, to marvel at its historical beauty. We've always wanted to see Prague. Get aload of where Jenni is putting us up for the week!
And last but certainly not least, in the category of fun midnight movie entertainment, we have *Bob-kat's* contribution to the party, the performance art piece by *The Potter Puppet Pals* , That Mysterious Ticking Noise. (link in pink). I'm told we need to look deeply for its psychological symbolism as a thought-provoking metaphor for the meaning of life. Me, the blog and my ability to be overwhelmed by your generosity have reached their zenith. If I open another gift, Blogger will write me up for hogging the internet! You're all too generous, and this has been a wonderful Virtual Party.
Thank you all for your fun birthday wishes, and for helping make my birthday more special.
~Shephard :)
